Users can Create New Estimates in a number of ways, all of which lead to the Estimate Setup Wizard. The ability to create Estimates is controlled by a Permission.

The various ways to create a New Estimate are as follows:

Estimating Sidebar

• Select Create a New Estimate from the Estimating Sidebar. 

Navigation

Modules > Estimating > Estimating Sidebar > Create a New Estimate

My Recently Viewed Estimating Packages

• Select Create a new Estimating Package found on the My Recently Viewed Estimating Packages section of the Details tab on the Estimating Summary.

View Estimates Menu

• From the View Estimates menu, select New Estimate from the View Estimates Toolbar.

Create New... Menu

• Select Estimate from the Create New menu on the Portal Home Page.

Selecting any of these options will lead to the Create New Estimate Package menu, where Users can:

• Create Baseline Plans for Predefined Tasks
• Create Baseline Plans for Undefined Tasks
• Revise Baseline Plans for Existing Tasks
• Rebaseline for Existing Tasks
• Create Estimate-To-Complete Forecasts
• Create What-If scenarios
