The Unlock Timesheets function provides standard and custom tools and utilities for Administrators in managing Timesheets, including unlocking Timesheets, exporting Time Entry data to external systems, and more.


Availability

Only users with the Timekeeping Administrator permission will have access to this function.

Admin > Timekeeping > Admin Tools > Unlock Timesheets


The Timesheets List

The Timesheets list displays the Timesheets that are available for the selected Timesheet Period.  The list will display the following information:


  • Employee Name
  • Employee Email Address
    • The Email Address can be clicked in order to send an email to that Employee
  • Timesheet Status
  • Hours Entered
  • Date and Time Submitted
  • Person who submitted the Timesheet


How to Use the Timesheets List

  1. Click on the Employee Name in the list to view the Timesheet for the selected Timesheet Period.
  2. Click on the Employee Email Address so send an email to that Employee.
  3. Use the Filters to limit the Timesheets that are displayed in the List based on the criteria in your Filters.

Unlocking Timesheets

  1. In the Timesheets List, click the check box next to each Timesheets that you want to unlock.
  2. Click the Unlock Selected Timesheets... button in the toolbar.
  3. In the confirmation message pop-up, click the OK button to continue or click the Cancel button to change your selections.
  4. In the Reason for Unlocking Timesheets dialog, enter a description why you are unlocking the selected Timesheets.
    1. This reason will be included in an email that is sent to each User that indicates their Timesheet was unlocked.
  5. Click the OK button to unlock the selected Timesheets or click the Cancel button to abort the process.


The selected Timesheets will be unlocked.
