The Links function on the Object Definitions tab of the Admin Page allows Administrators to provide easy access useful or interesting web pages from the iSite Home Page.

Users with any of the following Permissions may manage Links:

Links Maintenance Functions

The following functions are available when performing Links Maintenance



Properties of a Link

A Link has the following properties:


  • Title
  • Description
  • URL
  • Link Opening Behavior


The Links List

The Links List displays the Links that have been created.  The list will display the following information:


  • Title and Description
  • URL
  • Link Opening Behavior

How to Use the Links List

  1. Click on the Title in the list whose information you would like to edit.
  2. Click on the Link URL to open the Link destination.


Toolbar Functions

The Toolbar appears at the top of the Links List. It consists of the following functions:


  • Add New Record
    • Allows the creation of a new Link.
  • Delete Selected Records...
    • Deletes the selected Links.  A confirmation message will appear before deletion.


How to Add a New Link

  1. Click the Add New Record button in the toolbar.
  2. Fill in the appropriate information in the Link Information section of the page.
  3. Click the Create Link button to create the new Link or click the Cancel button to abort the creation process.

How to Edit an Existing Link

  1. In the Links List, select the record to be edited by clicking the Title.
  2. Fill in the appropriate information in the Link Information section of the page.
  3. Click the Update Link button to update the Link or click the Cancel button to abort the editing process.


Deleting Links

Deleting a Link is a permanent change and cannot be reversed. 


How to Delete a Link

  1. In the Links List, select the Event to be deleted by clicking the Title.
  2. In the Link Maintenance page, click the Delete this Record... button in the toolbar.
  3. In the confirmation message pop-up, click the OK button to permanently delete the selected Link or click the Cancel button to abort the deletion process.


The selected Link will be permanently deleted from iSite.


How to Delete Multiple Links

  1. In the Links List, click the check box next to each record that you want to delete.
  2. Click the Delete Selected Records... button in the toolbar.
  3. In the confirmation message pop-up, click the OK button to permanently delete the selected Links or click the Cancel button to abort the deletion process.


The selected Links will be permanently deleted from iSite.
