Provides the ability for Users to add links to web pages in iSite. The Links page serves as a central hub for managing hyperlinks within the site and allows easy access to web pages through their links.  

 

Availability 

Users with any of the following Permissions may manage the Links page: 

  • Settings Administrator 

 

Navigation 

Admin > Object Definitions> Links  

 

The Links List 

The Links List displays the Links that have been created on the Links page. The list will display the following information: 

  • Title: The name given to the link when created 
  • Link URL: The link URL that is clicked to open the web page 
  • New Window: Link opening behavior; how the link will open when clicked (in a new Window or not). 

 

How to Use the Links List 

The Links List allows Users to edit a Link in the list and open web pages by clicking a desired link URL in the list. 
 

Toolbar Functions 

The Toolbar appears at the top of the Links List. It consists of the following functions: 

  • Add New Link: Allows the creation of a new Link. 
  • Delete Links: Deletes a selected Link. 

 

How to Add a New Link 

  1. Click the "Add New Record" button in the toolbar. 
  2. Fill in the appropriate information in the fields for the link properties.  
  • A Link has the following properties: 
    • Title 
    • Description 
    • URL 
    • Open in New Window (Link Opening Behavior) 
  1. Click the "Submit" button to create the new Link or click the "Cancel" button to abort the creation process. 


How to Edit an Existing Link 

  1. In the Links List, select the record to be edited by clicking the Title. 
  2. Fill in the appropriate information in the fields for the link properties.  
  3. Click the "Submit" button to update the Link or click the "Cancel" button to abort the editing process. 

 

How to Delete Links 

**Deleting a Link is a permanent change and cannot be reversed** 

Deleting one link at a time: 

  1. In the Links List, click the check box next to the link that you want to delete. 
  2. Click the "Delete Links" button in the toolbar 
  3. In the confirmation message pop-up, click the "Yes" to permanently delete the selected Link or click the "No" button to abort the deletion process. 
  4. The selected Link will be permanently deleted from iSite. 


Deleting multiple links at a time: 

  1. In the Links List, click the check box next to each link that you want to delete. 
  2. Click the "Delete Links" button in the toolbar. 
  3. In the confirmation message pop-up, click the "Yes" button to permanently delete the selected Links or click the " No" button to abort the deletion process. 
  4. The selected Links will be permanently deleted from iSite.
