Counters
The Counters page under the Object Definitions tab of the Admin Navigation Menu is a tool that automatically assigns numerical values to objects, like Tasks. Counters are used to manage numerical assignment of objects. For example, when you create a new Task, and create a Counter object for it, the Counter generates a number automatically, so you don’t have to do it manually. This helps keep everything organized and ensures that each item has a distinct identifier, making it easier to track and manage them.

- Current Value: Shows the latest number that a Counter has assigned.
- Counter Type: This indicates the kind of Counter and its purpose.
- Task Order Request: a counter that can only be configured or incremented via a TOR / Workflow
- Generic incrementor: a type of Counter that increases its value by a set amount each time it’s used. It is sequential numbering.
- Enabled: Tells you whether a Counter is active or not. If it's enabled, the Counter is working and assigning numbers. If it's disabled, it won’t assign any numbers until it’s turned back on.
